Dr. Gibson graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 and began his veterinary career in Maysville, KY. He moved to Grayson after purchasing Gross Vet Clinic from the late Dr. Gross' family in June 1995. 'Doc' enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine as well as, community service. When not taking care of the 'critters' he enjoys boating, skiing, flying and many other activities with his wife, Cindy. He especially enjoys getting to spend time with his grandchildren, Sam, 6 and Charlotte, 2. He has one son, Jared who lives in Lexington with his wife Emily. Doc has adopted and rescued many animals over the years with the current 'crew' consisting of a dog named Derby, two cats, Earl and Willie, a pony, Toby and a Clydesdale named Scarlet.
Dr. Partridge is originally from northern Illinois and is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to vet school, Dr. P worked on a thoroughbred breeding and training farm just outside of Lexington. During her time there she fell in love with the beautiful state of Kentucky and is excited to return, now as a part of the ACVC team. She is looking forward to becoming a part of the Grayson community and helping the local animals live happy and healthy lives. Dr. P has an interest in both large and small animal medicine, wound care and preventive medicine. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking and exploring in general, especially when one of her dogs joins in on the adventure. She has two Corgis, Tucker and Ranger, and a redbone mix named Lilly. Dr. P also enjoys following hockey, staying true to her home state by being a die-hard Chicago Blackhawks fan.
Michele is a Veterinary Technician and self described jack-of-all-trades from surgical and medical assistance to client education to handling inventory. She has been with the hospital since 2005 and finds that her favorite part of the job is helping the patients reunite with their owners after successful procedures. She said that happy parents and patients excited to see each other makes this job awesome! Her fur family consists of two dogs, Coolio and Squidward, and several active cats that were all rescues. She is also the proud Aunt to a dog, two cats, a pony and a horse. When she is away from the hospital, Michele enjoys watching football, Nascar and basketball games, going on adventures, hunting and spending time with her husband, Stub, family and friends.
Raelinn joined the ACVC team in June of 2017. She enjoys getting to help all animals and learning new things along the way. Raelinn has several animals of her own, including two dogs, Waylon and Cash, two cats, Dolly and Loretta, and two horses, Bucky and Shelby. She originally started her vet tech career in Ohio before moving to the area in June of 2015 after getting married.
Amanda started with ACVC in January 2018 and pulls double duty as a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist.Amanda enjoys learning new things while working closely with the animals and developing relationships with the owners. Amanda's family includes her husband Alan, daughter Gracie and two sons, Levi and Luke. Her rescued fur babies include three dogs, Cash, Bella and Coco, a cat named Kiki and her horse, Rose. Amanda is a proud East Carter sports mom and in her free time you can always catch her on a field or court supporting her kids in their sports activities.
As a Kentucky Christian University student, Tommi started as a volunteer at ACVC in September 2015 and with hard work and dedication earned herself a full time Veterinary Assistant position very quickly. Tommi left for vet school in the fall of 2017 and now comes back to work with her ACVC family over holidays and breaks. She plans to return to the area to practice small animal veterinary medicine after graduation. Tommi is a 2016 graduate of Kentucky Christian University were she was a four year volleyball player. She says her favorite part of working at ACVC is watching and learning about surgeries and getting to help treat exotics, especially reptiles! Tommi has a dachshund named Daisy, a cat, Lester and a turtle named Speedy. Her hobbies include playing sports, working out, reading and playing the guitar and piano.
Courtney joined the ACVC team in August of 2016 as a Veterinary Assistant. She says her favorite thing about working at ACVC is helping animals while learning new things and meeting new people. She is an East Carter High School graduate that enjoys hiking, four wheeler riding and spending time with friends and family. Courtney has three fur babies at home including two dogs, Bella and Bear and a cat named Lola.
Vanessa joined the ACVC family in 2012 and pulls double duty as our groomer and a veterinary assistant. Vanessa is a professionally trained pet groomer and stylist who graduated from Nash Academy of Animal Arts in Lexington, KY. She also interned at Nash for three months following her graduation. Vanessa says she takes great pride in her work and truly finds joy in working with the animals. Vanessa, affectionately known as 'Groomer' has been voted Best Groomer in the Grayson Journal Readers Choice Awards four years! When she is not styling pets, she enjoys hanging out with her two sisters, Hannah and Tori, her husband, Danny, daughter, Emma, her three dogs, Danica, Missie and Speck, and two cats, Figaro and Minnie Mouse.
Sherri came to work with the ACVC family in August 2015 after the decision to make a career change to be closer to home. She has a background in graphic design. Sherri says getting to know the owners and seeing all of the pets are some of her favorite parts of the job. Her family includes her husband Bart, two daughters, Evie and Darian, two dogs, Jasper and Tucker, and two rescue cats, Jinx and K9. Sherri is a proud Lady Raiders Soccer mom who enjoys watching and cheering for her daughter at soccer games. She also loves working on her and Bart's '69 Camaro and going to car shows.
Cindy is responsible for several duties at ACVC including maintaining the clinic website, Facebook page and electronic sign, along with organizing events such as the annual Dog Jog, ACVC Anniversary Celebration and Pets & Kids Trick or Treat night. Cindy is also a fill in receptionist from time to time and bookkeeper. Some of her favorite duties include being the photographer for the annual Easter Bunny and Santa visits to the clinic and decorating, especially for Christmas! She has one dog, Derby, two cats, Earl and Willie, a pony, Toby, and a Clydesdale horse named Scarlet. In her spare time Cindy enjoys photography, traveling, boating and flying with her husband Doc.
