Dr. Gibson graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 and began his veterinary career in Maysville, KY. He moved to Grayson after purchasing Gross Vet Clinic from the late Dr. Gross' family in June 1995. 'Doc' enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine as well as, community service. When not taking care of the 'critters' he enjoys boating, skiing, flying and many other activities with his wife, Cindy. He especially enjoys getting to spend time with his grandchildren, Sam, 8 and Charlotte, 5. He has one son, Jared who lives in Lexington with his wife Emily. Doc has adopted and rescued many animals over the years with the current 'crew' consisting of a chocolate Lab named Derby, three Golden Retriever brothers, Maverick, Goose and Iceman, two cats, Earl and Willie, a pony, Toby and a Clydesdale named Scarlet.
Dr. Partridge is originally from northern Illinois and is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to vet school, Dr. P worked on a thoroughbred breeding and training farm just outside of Lexington. During her time there she fell in love with the beautiful state of Kentucky and wanted to return. She enjoys being a part of the Grayson community and helping the local animals live happy and healthy lives. Dr. P has an interest in both large and small animal medicine, surgery, wound care and preventive medicine. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking and exploring in general, especially when one of her dogs joins in on the adventure. She has two dogs, a Corgi, Ranger, and a redbone mix named Lilly and two adorable, adopted cats, Pepperoni and Anchovy. Dr. P also enjoys following hockey, staying true to her home state by being a die-hard Chicago Blackhawks fan.
Michele is a Veterinary Technician and self described jack-of-all-trades from surgical and medical assistance to client education to handling inventory. She has been with the hospital since 2005 and finds that her favorite part of the job is helping the patients reunite with their owners after successful procedures. She said that happy parents and patients excited to see each other makes this job awesome! Her fur family consists of three dogs, Coolio, Squidward and Leo and several active cats that were all rescues. She is also the proud Aunt to a 4 dogs, two cats, a pony and a horse. When she is away from the hospital, Michele enjoys watching football, Nascar and basketball games, going on adventures, hunting and spending time with her husband, Stub, family and friends.
Raelinn joined the ACVC team in June of 2017. She enjoys helping animals and learning new things. She started her Vet Tech career in Ohio before moving to the area in 2015 after getting married to Billy. They have one son, Silas. Raelinn has several animals of her own, two dogs, Waylon and Cash, three cats, Dolly, Loretta and Patsy, two horses, Bucky and Shelby, along with several cattle.
Amanda started with ACVC in January 2018 and pulls double duty as a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist. Amanda enjoys learning new things while working closely with the animals and developing relationships with the owners. Amanda's family includes her husband Alan, daughter Gracie and two sons, Levi and Luke. Her rescued fur babies include three dogs, Cash, Bella and Coco, two cats named Kiki and Beatrice and her horse, Rose. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time traveling with her family and friends.
Vanessa joined the ACVC family in 2012 and pulls double duty as our groomer and a veterinary assistant. Vanessa is a professionally trained pet groomer and stylist who graduated from Nash Academy of Animal Arts in Lexington, KY. She also interned at Nash for three months following her graduation. Vanessa says she takes great pride in her work and truly finds joy in working with the animals. Vanessa, affectionately known as 'Groomer' has been voted Best Groomer in the Grayson Journal Readers Choice Awards four years! When she is not styling pets, she enjoys hanging out with her two sisters, Hannah and Tori, her daughter, Emma, her four dogs, Danica, Missie and Speck, her three cats, Figaro, Minnie Mouse and Snowflake, two horses, Smiley and Puddin and four chickens, Dorothy, Blanche, Sophia and Rose.
Sherri came to work with the ACVC family in August 2015 after the decision to make a career change to be closer to home. Sherri says getting to know the owners and meeting their pets are some of the favorite parts of her job. Her family includes her husband Bart, two daughters, Evie and Darian, three dogs, Tucker a Great Pyrenees, Jasper a Toy Poodle and Keda a Blue Heeler, two rescue cats, Jinx and K9. Sherri is a proud Lady Raiders mom who loves going to support her daughter Darian and the Lady Raiders Soccer Team. She also loves spending time with Bart fixing up their '69 Camaro and taking it to car shows.
Krystal joined the ACVC team in November of 2018 as a receptionist. She is an East Carter graduate and lived in Grayson most of her life so she says her favorite parts about working at ACVC are getting to see her friends and neighbors while getting to see all the adorable pets that come through the doors. Krystal is a fur mama to a dog, Diesel and a cat Lakota. While not working she enjoys spending time with friends, hiking with her fiance Matt, Friday night Raider football and relaxing with her fur babies.
Cindy is responsible for several duties at ACVC including maintaining the clinic website, Facebook page and electronic sign, along with organizing events such as the annual Dog Jog, ACVC Anniversary Celebration and Pets & Kids Trick or Treat night. Cindy is also a fill in receptionist from time to time and bookkeeper. Some of her favorite duties include being the photographer for the annual Easter Bunny and Santa visits to the clinic and decorating, especially for Christmas! She has four dogs, Derby, a chocolate Lab, three Golden Retriever brothers, Maverick, Goose and Iceman, two cats, Earl and Willie, a pony, Toby, and a Clydesdale horse named Scarlet. In her spare time Cindy enjoys photography, traveling, boating and flying with her husband Doc.
